Job summary

Essential HR is recruiting a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter for a well-established Perth engineering business. This workshop-based role offers Monday to Friday dayshift, with no FIFO, in a modern workshop with the right tools and a great team culture.

You will work on a range of mining and heavy industry equipment, including new builds, repairs and overhauls, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate has an Australian trade-qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, strong fault-finding skills and the

Qualifications

• Australian trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience in heavy industry, mining, drilling, transport, manufacturing or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; current driver's licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Build new equipment and perform rebuilds in a modern Perth workshop.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and overhauls on mining and heavy industry equipment.
• Diagnostics, fault finding and component fitting in a workshop setting.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with safety and accuracy.

The Role

We are seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established Perth engineering business. The role offers Monday to Friday dayshift, a modern workshop, and plenty of variety.

You'll work on a range of mining and heavy industry equipment, including:

• New equipment builds
• Mechanical repairs and overhauls
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Component fitting and assembly
• Delivering quality workmanship in a workshop environment

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has an Australian trade-qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
• Is experienced in heavy industry, mining, drilling, transport, manufacturing or similar environments
• Has strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Is able to read and interpret technical drawingsHas a current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Takes pride in producing quality work
• Enjoys variety and solving mechanical challenges
