Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) Team at our Lithium mine sites. These are full-time FIFO roles from Perth with an 8/6 roster. We offer competitive rates and strong site facilities.

You'll perform service, maintenance and repair on diesel generators, pumps and related mechanical systems, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship across the operation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
• Experience servicing generators (diesel engines, control panels).
• Strong background in pump maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical drive systems.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work under pressure during emergency repairs.
• Willingness to assist other trades using transposable skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair diesel generators and power generation equipment, dewatering pumps and associated mechanical systems.
• Perform comprehensive maintenance on centrifugal, positive displacement, and slurry pumps.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator and control systems.
• Conduct pump impeller replacements, seal repairs, and bearing maintenance.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules for critical pumping and power systems.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain detailed service records and equipment histories.
