NEPEAN Belting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for the Moranbah region to join our underground mining team. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, repairing, and shutdown works for conveyor belts in underground operations, with outbye experience highly regarded.

The successful candidate will have underground coal mining experience, belting expertise, and current Standard 11. A Coal Board Medical and a valid driver's licence are required.

Competenze

• Underground coal mining experience required; not entry level.
• Belting experience preferred.
• Current Standard 11 or equivalent safety training.
• Coal Board Medical or ability to obtain.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Mansioni

• Carry out conveyor belt installation, maintenance, and repairs across underground operations.
• Perform shutdown works and routine servicing on conveyors in outbye areas.

About the role

You will be responsible for carrying out conveyor belt installation, maintenance, repairs and shutdown works across underground mining operations. Experience working in outbye areas and on conveyor systems is highly regarded.

Requirements

• Previous underground coal mining experience (white hat) this is not an entry level role
• Belting experience preferred
• Current Standard 11
• Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain)
• Current Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
