Field Mining Services Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with Rope Machine experience to join our Bowen Basin-based team. You will perform maintenance and breakdown work on mining equipment, adapting to a dynamic site environment.

We value safety, reliability and hands-on problem solving. The role offers steady work with opportunities to grow skills and contribute to ongoing mining projects in Queensland.

Formación

• Trade qualification required for mechanical fitter role.
• Experience on heavy mining equipment essential.
• Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 required or in place.
• Current Drivers Licence must be held by candidate.

Responsabilidades

• Perform planned maintenance and breakdown work on mining equipment.
• Work across Bowen Basin site with safety as a priority.
• Rotate across equipment and respond to breakdowns as needed.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing a range of planned maintenance and breakdown work across mining equipment. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working in a dynamic mining environment.

About You

• Previous Rope Machine experience – essential
• Mining and/or heavy mobile equipment experience
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

The successful applicant, will have:

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Experience working on heavy machinery (Essential)
• Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
• Current Drivers Licence
• Confined Space, GTA & Working at Heights
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the proven ability to liaise with both management and clients
• Ability to meet site requirements
