Job summary

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join Bev Plastics Pty Ltd located in Braeside. You will assist engineers, prepare drawings, design support, and help assemble, install and test mechanical components and systems.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, equipment assembly, installation, testing or maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, plans and technical documentation.
• Ability to estimate material costs and machine requirements.
• Familiarity with field and laboratory testing procedures and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, plans and designs under supervision of engineers.
• Assist with design and development of mechanical equipment and plant.
• Select tools and equipment for mechanical work and maintenance activities.
• Assemble and install mechanical assemblies, controls and hydraulic systems.
• Estimate material costs and machine requirements for projects.
• Perform field and laboratory tests to assess performance and reliability.
• Coordinate inspections and maintenance to support safe operations.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and liaise with engineering teams.
