Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development or manufacturing engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Ansys, AutoCAD or Creo.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise mechanical components, linkage systems and medical equipment using CAD software.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings and design documentation for components and finished products.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations and tests to assess strength, safety and reliability.
• Develop prototypes and verify manufacturability and performance.
• Coordinate suppliers, fabricators and external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements including TGA.
• Analyse performance data and feedback to improve design and reliability.
• Prepare reports, project plans, testing records and compliance documentation.
• Resolve product failures in the field and instruct contractors.
