Aurizon is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer for a 7-month opportunity in Rockhampton, working with the Mechanised Production team. You will support maintenance, construction and operations with on-track rail machinery and heavy maintenance equipment.

The role focuses on asset reliability, lifecycle improvements, and collaboration with across network teams. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.

• Demonstrable experience in preparation and review of written technical reports.
• Ability to demonstrate sound engineering judgement and advice.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure operations, design, construction, maintenance and safety standards.
• Willingness to travel across Central Queensland Coal Network as required.

About the role: An exciting 7-month opportunity exists for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join Aurizon's Mechanised Production team in Rockhampton. Bringing your expertise in on-track rail machinery and heavy maintenance equipment, you will provide technical engineering support and advice to maintenance, construction, and operational teams across the network.
