Job summary

Kogan People Solutions, Springvale-based mechanical engineering recruiter, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, deliver, and optimise gas and combustion systems across projects from concept through commissioning.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree, 1+ years of industrial experience, CAD proficiency, and knowledge of AS standards. You will collaborate with teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) is required.
• 1+ years of relevant professional experience in industrial systems, gas, combustion, or process engineering.
• Proficiency in engineering software and CAD tools used for design and documentation.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards such as AS 3814 and AS 5601.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of gas and fuel system projects, including design and CAD modelling.
• Coordinate manufacturing and project execution, including procurement, planning, and assembly.
• Perform engineering calculations, sizing, and component selection in line with standards.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning, including site visits.
• Review and oversee quality assurance and testing to ensure safety and specifications.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
