C2O Group Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Commissioning to join a mining project in Queensland on a 2:1 roster. This role focuses on developing commissioning procedures and delivering safe handover to operations.

You will work with construction, engineering, electrical/instrumentation and operations teams to test, inspect and commission equipment, including pumps, conveyors, crushers and piping systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; mining experience preferred.
• Strong background in mechanical commissioning.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute commissioning procedures, test packs, inspection plans and check sheets.
• Commission equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, crushers, tanks, piping systems and other process equipment.
• Carry out functional testing, performance testing, and pressure testing; conduct equipment inspections.
• Collaborate with construction, electrical/instrumentation and operations teams to address commissioning issues.
• Manage punch-list items, defects and commissioning documentation for safe handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute commissioning procedures, test packs, inspection plans and check sheets
• Commission equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, crushers, tanks, piping systems and other process equipment
• Carry out functional testing, performance testing, pressure testing and equipment inspections, ensuring systems meet design and project requirements
• Work closely with construction, engineering, electrical/instrumentation and operations teams to identify, troubleshoot and close out commissioning issues
• Manage punch-list items, defects and commissioning documentation, supporting the safe handover of completed systems to the client and operations team

About You:

Our ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have proven experience working within the mining industry, with a strong background in mechanical commissioning
