Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Services team at Invicta Mill in the Burdekin region. The role involves maintaining and repairing locomotive fleet and mobile plant in a busy industrial setting. The position is permanent with shift work during the Crushing Season (June–Dec) and daywork January–May.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Services team at Invicta Mill. As a Diesel Fitter, you'll be working in a dynamic environment, maintaining and repairing our critical locomotive fleet and mobile plant. This is a permanent position which will require shift work during the Crushing Season (June-Dec) and daywork during the Maintenance (Jan-May). You'll have the chance to dive into a role that offers both challenges and rewards, making a real impact in an industry that's unlike any other.

Your Qualifications & Experience

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter) or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Proven experience in servicing and repairing diesel engines and mobile plant, with a strong background in heavy industrial work.

Desirable (but not essential) Skills:

• Hydraulics
• Dogman Licence
• Forklift Licence
• Confined Space Ticket
• Working at Heights Ticket
• Construction Card
• Overhead Crane Ticket
• Welding Skills
