Job summary

Intellect Systems is seeking a Senior Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor for FIFO roles in Western Australia. You will supervise commissioning activities, ensure plans are followed, and manage schedules across multiple sites.

Strong fault-finding, reading drawings/IOMs, and OHSE compliance are essential. Ideal candidates have 3+ years commissioning experience and 12 months supervisory experience in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry, with current LVR/CPR and a WA licence.

Qualifications

• 3 Years+ commissioning experience in mining/oil & gas or heavy industry.
• 12 Months+ supervisory experience in similar environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and IOMs.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A screening.
• Current LVR/CPR, WA White Construction Card, WA Drivers Licence (C Class).
• S26 Training and OHSE policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commissioning plans are followed and ITRs completed on time.
• Conduct regular inspections and address issues promptly.
• Contribute to development and management of commissioning schedule.
• Manage and sign off JHAs for commissioning tasks.
• Provide guidance to team members and promote safety culture.
• Coordinate with disciplines and vendors; liaise as required.
• Ensure compliance with Intellect Systems OHSE policies.

About the roles:

Join our team and play a key role in supervising the commissioning of a range of equipment and packages.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring commissioning plans are followed and ITR’s are completed meticulously, accurately and on time.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
• Provide input into the development and management of the commissioning schedule.
• Manage and approve / sign off of JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses) for commissioning-related tasks.
• Provide guidance to team members
• Actively promote a strong safety focus and ensure compliance with Intellect Systems’ & Client OHSE policies and procedures
• Liaising with other disciplines and vendors
• Current LVR / CPR
• WA White Construction Card
• WA Drivers License (C Class)
• S26 Training
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and D&A Screening

Highly Desirable

• Rio Tinto, BHP, or FMG Inducted
• Experience with conveyor systems, crushers, pumps, motors, and associated field equipment.
• Mechanical Trade Certification
