SA Water is seeking a Mechanical Apprentice (Fitter and Turner) to join the South Para team. This full-time program commences 28 January 2027 and is designed for individuals exploring a rewarding new career path, including mature-age applicants or career changers.

The program offers hands-on learning, on-the-job experience, and a pathway to a nationally recognised qualification while contributing to essential water services across SA.

Qualifications

• You don’t need previous trade experience; willingness to learn a trade is key.

Responsibilities

• Supporting maintenance teams with day-to-day operations.
• Learning to operate tools, machinery, and vehicles.
• Attending TAFE and off‑the‑job training as required.

• Learning about asset management, safety practices, and compliance standards.
• Actively participating in team discussions and continuous improvement.
