Job summary

A local government authority in Adelaide seeks a mechanic to maintain its fleet in a climate-controlled workshop. This role offers a full-time or part-time permanent opportunity with a 9-day fortnight, starting at $80,516 + super. Overtime is available, and tools are provided. Experience in plant maintenance is advantageous. A supportive and inclusive work environment is promised.

Qualifications

Overview

Mechanic Wanted – see the Job in Action. We’re looking for a mechanic to keep the City of Adelaide’s fleet running smoothly in a fully equipped and climate-controlled workshop. This is a full-time or part-time, permanent opportunity with a 9-day fortnight, starting at $80,516 + super. Overtime is available. Tools and laundered uniforms are provided.

  • Maintain and repair a variety of plant and fleet including utes, trucks, backhoes, mowers, street sweepers, electric vehicles, motorbikes, and more.
  • Ensure the fleet is kept in good working order and that daily operations run smoothly in a climate-controlled workshop.
