Job summary

NW Mining & Civil seeks an experienced MC Road Train Driver to operate triple side tipper equipment and float machinery across NW Queensland. You will cart road construction materials to multiple projects and support site logistics, with preferred experience on both highway and mine sites.

The role requires reliability, adaptability, and teamwork, plus the ability to pass a mine-site medical and inductions. Roster is 2 weeks on/1 week off, with long shifts of 9–12 hours and some night work.

Qualifications

• MC licence and traffic history check are mandatory.
• Triple side tipper and/or float experience required.
• Must pass medical and D&A screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate MC road train to transport road construction materials across NW QLD.
• Move equipment between sites and manage on-site logistics.
• Adhere to roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off; day and occasional night shifts.

Job description

NW Mining & Civil are seeking an experienced MC Road Train Driver for work throughout NW QLD.

You will be required to carry out triple side tipper work carting road construction material to various projects in the region, as well as floating various machinery between different sites. Experience with both long haul highway and mine site driving is preferred.

To succeed in this role you will be reliable, adaptable, able to communicate and a team player. You will also need to be able to pass a mine site medical and complete inductions.

Roster will be 2 weeks on, 1 week off, mainly days but some nights will be required from time to time. Shifts will be a minimum of 9 hours, but more likely 10s or 12s.

Pay rate is $54/hr flat rate as a casual employee, and includes the provision of a meal allowance, as you will be responsible for arranging your own meals.

Local Mt Isa or Cloncurry residents are preferred, but flights are available from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns. Accommodation is included.

This work will be ongoing for the right person.
