Qantas Airways at Melbourne Airport Freight Terminal is seeking casual Long Distance Drivers to operate heavy vehicles across the interstate network with a strong focus on safety and load integrity.

You’ll perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensure loads are correctly restrained, and coordinate trailer movements at depots and customer sites. A current MC licence, willingness to travel interstate, and a flexible rotating roster including night shifts are essential.

• Ability to conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Strong understanding of load-restraint principles and safe freight handling.
• Ability to split and couple trailers and manage multi-trailer combinations.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure loads are correctly restrained and secured per guidelines.
• Split, couple and reposition trailers at depots and customer sites.
• Operate curtains, straps, ratchets and other load-restraint equipment.
• Travel interstate and work across rotating roster including night shifts.
