Job summary

Exodas is seeking a trained professional to join our Melbourne-area transport team. You must hold an MC licence and have experience with fridge vans, tautliners, and securing freight. Road Train and B-Double work knowledge for Melbourne is essential.

You will handle loading, unloading and paperwork with minimal supervision. Based at Sunshine with your own Volvo prime mover, you’ll support deliveries along the East Coast and at our yard.

Qualifications

• Current MC licence is mandatory.
• Experience loading and securing freight in tautliners is required.
• Experience loading refrigerated freight in fridge vans is required.
• Road Train and B-Double knowledge for Melbourne area is essential.
• Ability to complete paperwork and work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load freight, manage fridge vans and tautliners.
• Relocate trailers between customer sites and our yard.
• Operate B-double, B-triple and road trains as required.
• Maintain high presentation standards for customers such as cold stores and food distributors.

Job description

Exodas is a well established and growing transport and logistics company operating along the East Coast from Far North Queensland to Melbourne, with depots/yards in Melbourne, Sydney, Warnervale, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville, Tully, Innisfail, Mareeba, and head office in Yatala (Qld).

The Role

Permanent full-time position

Monday to Friday with weekend work when required

Flexible start times, but generally early to mid morning

Based at Sunshine with your own Volvo prime mover

Duties are a mix of unloading and loading, fridge vans and tautliners, relocating trailers between customer sites, and our yard

B-double, B-triple, and Road Trains

About you

Current MC licence

Experience with loading and securing general freight in tautliners- REQUIRED

Experience with loading and securing refrigerated freight in fridge vans - REQUIRED

Road Train and B-Double experience and knowledge around Melbourne is a MUST and will be confirmed

Good with completing paperwork

Ability to work unsupervised

Solid technology literacy to complete customer inductions and receive daily instructions (via WhatsApp)

High standard of presentation as many of the customers are cold stores and food distributors
