Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking a Classroom Teacher to deliver Mathematics for VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) at Fountain Gate Secondary College in Melbourne. The role involves planning, delivering and assessing high-quality maths programs aligned with the Victorian curriculum and VCE VM requirements.

You will contribute to student learning outcomes, engage with diverse learners and collaborate with the wellbeing and teaching teams to support student success within a dynamic school

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• SC2: Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating student growth.
• SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing learning and communicating progress to students/parents.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, families and staff.
• SC5: Alignment with Department values and commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of Mathematics to VCE VM students.
• Plan, prepare and deliver programs to achieve student outcomes.
• Use data to inform teaching and provide feedback on student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Support wellbeing, inclusion and engagement within the learning environment.
