Job summary

Matrix Education in Box Hill is seeking Maths Tutors to join our leading tuition college for primary and secondary students. This role suits an undergraduate student balancing studies, with regular weekday hours throughout the year.

You will work with a proactive team in a modern environment, where students bring their own work. Timetable prep is minimal, as bookings are handled for you by the team.

Qualifications

• Excellent maths knowledge and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Minimum six months in retail, hospitality or customer service.
• Current undergraduate studies in relevant fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one maths tutoring sessions for year 7–12 students.
• Mark exams and homework booklets.
• Provide administrative support to Maths Teachers as needed.
• Assist Victoria Faculty Lead with ad hoc tasks.

Matrix Education is now hiring Maths Tutors to join the team at our Box Hill campus.

This position is ideal for an undergraduate student who loves to share their knowledge of Mathematics and is seeking a role to balance with their studies. It will require the successful candidate to be available to work on regular days weekly, throughout the year.

You will have the opportunity to work with a fun, talented and hard working team in a great work environment. Minimal timetable administration and preparation is required as students are booked for you and they will be bringing in their own work and Maths questions.

What you'll do...

• Undertaking one on one workshops with year 7-12 Maths students
• Marking of exams and homework booklets
• Providing additional administrative support to Maths Teachers
• Additional ad hoc duties as required by the Victoria Faculty Lead

What you'll need...

• Achieved 40+ study score VCE results in Maths Methods
• Exceptional results in Maths Specialist will be highly regarded, but not essential
• A passion for Maths and teaching
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum six months previous ongoing work experience in retail, hospitality or customer service
• Current tertiary studies in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Education related fields will be highly regarded
