St. Andrew’s Christian School (STACS) is a growing Preparatory to Year 12 coeducational school in a rural setting situated close to Grafton in the beautiful Clarence Valley. The Valley boasts an extensive river system, proximity to pristine beaches, World Heritage Rainforests and beautiful national parks. We are seeking a motivated Christian Mathematics Teacher to join a supportive and collaborative staff who provide a quality education in the STACS community.

Key responsibilities and position description:

The School is seeking a 1.0 Full Time Mathematics teacher to join STACS in 2026, to teach Mathematics in the Secondary School. The successful candidate will be an exceptional educator, who is highly motivated to support STACS to maintain and develop learning and innovation, ensure continued academic achievement and inspire, engage and value every student.

Essential Criteria
  • A demonstrated commitment to Christ.
  • Be willing to support the Christian ethos and values of the School.
  • Subscribe to our Statement of Faith (available on our website).
  • Demonstrated involvement in a church community.
  • A commitment to the strategic direction of the school.
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditation in NSW.
  • A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students to enhance student knowledge and understanding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • A demonstrated ability to work positively in a team.
  • Proficient administrative skills, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to utilise data to enhance students’ learning.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • A high standard of proficiency, competency and enthusiasm as a classroom teacher.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics for Secondary students in Stages 4, 5 & 6.
  • Willingness to teach within another subject area.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and the ability to deliver effective pedagogy in an innovative and engaging manner.
  • Develop innovative lesson plans that integrate biblical truth to the senior student body.

Recent or current University Graduates are encouraged to apply for this position.
