Job summary

Queensland Government’s Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a dynamic Midwifery Unit Manager to lead Rockhampton’s Maternity Unit. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, oversee staffing, rostering, resources and budgets, and champion woman-centred care across the service.

You will drive safety and quality improvements, support professional development, and foster innovation and positive change in a large public hospital setting within Central Queensland.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the NMBA.
• Advanced midwifery knowledge and strong clinical judgement.
• Experience leading teams and managing maternity unit operations.
• Confidence with workforce planning, rostering, resources and budget.
• Commitment to culturally safe, evidence-based, woman-centred care.
