Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service in Rockhampton is seeking a Midwifery Unit Manager to lead Rockhampton's Maternity Unit, guiding a multidisciplinary team in a busy Level 4 service.

You will drive safe, woman-centred care, oversee staffing, rostering, budgets and quality improvements, and support innovation within the service.

This is a day shift, fixed-term, full-time role with opportunities for professional development and strong collaboration with clinical and operational leaders.

Qualifications

• Current NMBA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Advanced midwifery knowledge and strong clinical judgement.
• Experience leading teams and managing maternity unit operations.
• Confidence with workforce planning, rostering, resources and budgets.
• Commitment to culturally safe, evidence-based and woman-centred care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships across a multidisciplinary team.
