Northern Health seeks an experienced Associate Midwifery Unit Manager to lead the Maternity Assessment Centre (MAC) and support the NUM in running a 24/7 unit. You will oversee midwifery resources, ensure timely patient flow, and uphold high standards of care within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes clinical leadership, staff development, safe patient care, and alignment with NH values across all campuses in Melbourne’s rapidly growing northern region.

Qualifications

• Current Registration as a Registered Midwife and/or Registered Nurse and Midwife, with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated understanding of management and leadership principles.
• Knowledge of access management and patient flow.

Responsabilités

• Manage professional and operational requirements of Maternity Assessment Centre.
• Oversee care and patient flow for women through MAC.
• Set clinical standards to achieve high quality midwifery care and support professional development.
• Partner with women and families to provide holistic, women-centred care.
• Role model high clinical standards in line with Northern Health values.
