Job summary

Yarra Ranges Council is seeking a Maternal & Child Health Nurse to join our team on a part-time casual basis, working across 14 centres within our municipality to provide comprehensive health services to families with young children.

As part of the Family Children and Youth team, you will deliver primary health care, health promotion, early intervention, and referrals, with mentoring and support for recent graduates.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Midwife on AHPRA.
• Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Child & Family Health Nursing.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and agencies.
• Experience in health promotion and education programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary health care to children and families.
• Provide health promotion and parenting information.
• Identify health concerns early and intervene.
• Refer families to medical, allied health, and community services.
• Support families using a strength-based, family partnership model.
