Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material planning, procurement, and inventory control across manufacturing and distribution. You will drive performance through data, manage ERP-driven supply plans, and guide continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

You will oversee staff, staffing needs, performance reviews, and department policies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time customer order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 8+ years in supply chain, materials, planning, procurement, or related ops.
• 4+ years of leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience in inventory, production planning, and material flow.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; budgeting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee material planning, production planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, receiving, and shipping to support on-time fulfillment.
• Monitor KPIs like inventory health, turns, days of inventory, delivery performance, and back-orders.
• Develop supply plans using ERP systems and collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and ops.
• Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives to cut costs and reduce excess inventory.
• Direct and develop department staff, manage staffing, performance reviews, training, and policies.
