Alignerr Corp. is seeking Materials Science Experts (Masters or PhDs) to collaborate with leading AI research teams, applying semiconductor materials and molecular modeling knowledge to help AI reason about the physical world. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role.

You'll design and critique advanced material science problems, work asynchronously with AI researchers, and ensure scientific clarity and rigor across deliverables. 10–40 hours per week, with potential ongoing engagements.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent disciplines.
• Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving.
• Exceptional written communicator who can explain complex concepts with clarity.
• Detail-oriented and rigorous — you hold yourself and your work to a high scientific standard.
• Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand.
