Job summary

InfraBuild, a 2026 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work Gold Winner and Sustainability Champion, is seeking a Production Scheduler at the Mayfield site in Newcastle. You will balance customer demand with production capacity and inventory targets across Newcastle Rod Mill and Contistretch operations.

You will develop schedules, coordinate with operations, maintenance, sales and supply, monitor performance, analyze data, and drive continuous improvements to ensure timely delivery of the right product.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical capability; interpret information and identify issues.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, supply chain, logistics or related analytical role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics or related discipline (preferred).

  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance to align plans with capacity and maintenance needs.
  • Liaise with suppliers, sales and production to ensure materials and resources are available.

  • Communicate schedule updates and supply impacts to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across planning processes and systems.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling Lead and based at our Mayfield site, you will play a key role in balancing customer demand, production requirements and inventory targets across our Newcastle Rod Mill and Contistretch operations. Working closely with operations, maintenance, sales and supply stakeholders, you'll develop production schedules, solve planning challenges and help ensure our customers receive the right product at the right time.

What you will be doing:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand, operational efficiency and inventory targets
  • Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to align production plans with capacity and maintenance requirements
  • Liaise with internal suppliers, sales teams and production stakeholders to ensure materials and resources are available when needed
  • Monitor schedule performance, identify risks or constraints and implement solutions to minimise disruption
  • Analyse production, inventory and demand data to support informed planning decisions
  • Communicate schedule updates and supply impacts to stakeholders across the business
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes and systems
