• Strong knowledge of broadcast equipment, video servers, automation systems and signal routing.
• Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting audio and video quality issues.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow complex procedures and maintain documentation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to remain calm and respond under pressure during live broadcasts or emergencies.
• Knowledge of broadcast standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and manage master control room equipment, including video servers, automation systems and routing switchers, ensuring optimal performance throughout broadcast operations
• Execute programme schedules and transitions between feeds, ensuring accurate content delivery and minimal downtime
• Perform real-time quality control checks on audio and video signals, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all broadcast operations, system status updates and any incidents or anomalies
• Liaise with on-air and production teams to coordinate technical requirements and ensure smooth broadcast transitions
• Respond to emergency situations and system failures with quick troubleshooting and escalation procedures
• Perform routine maintenance checks and system tests on master control equipment to prevent operational disruptions
• Ensure compliance with broadcast standards, regulatory requirements and Sydney Teleport Services operational procedures

This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the daily operations of our broadcasting and telecommunications infrastructure. As Master Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the technical systems that ensure seamless delivery of content and services to our clients. This position is essential to maintaining the reliability, quality and integrity of our broadcast operations, and represents a key function within our technical operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Knowledge of broadcast standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in broadcast operations or telecommunications are highly desirable
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays as required by operational needs
