Job summary

Sharp and Carter is assisting an established B2B client to recruit a Marketing Manager in Melbourne. You will lead strategy, brand, campaigns, digital, website and CRM across multiple markets, driving demand and revenue through integrated activity.

You will work closely with Sales and senior leadership to understand customer needs, identify growth opportunities and measure activity against pipeline. A hands-on leader will guide three marketing professionals and oversee external partners.

Qualifications

  • Significant marketing experience including leadership of a marketing function.
  • Strong B2B marketing experience in technical/industrial/services environment.
  • Proven track record linking marketing to leads, pipeline and revenue.
  • Strong digital marketing, paid media, SEO and CRM experience.
  • Experience managing websites and enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing multiple external agencies and specialist partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management and commercial communication skills.
  • Hands-on leadership style with strategic focus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy and annual plan.
  • Own the marketing budget and measure ROI.
  • Develop integrated campaigns to build awareness and generate leads.
  • Work closely with Sales to identify customer needs, market opportunities and growth priorities.
  • Develop customer propositions and segmentation based on market and customer insight.
  • Lead digital marketing, paid media, SEO and GEO activity through agency partners.
  • Own the website roadmap, content, UX and conversion optimisation.
  • Lead Dynamics 365 CRM initiatives and customer journeys.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards connecting marketing activity to pipeline and revenue.
  • Manage digital, web and CRM agency partners.
  • Maintain consistent brand positioning across markets.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of three marketing professionals.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Manager will lead the marketing function across the business, with responsibility spanning strategy, brand, campaigns, digital, website and CRM.

This is a broad, hands-on and commercially focused role. You'll work closely with Sales and senior leadership to understand customer needs, identify growth opportunities and develop marketing activity that can be measured through leads, pipeline and revenue.

A key focus will be building greater awareness across the different areas of the business and helping customers better understand the breadth of solutions available to them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy and annual plan
  • Own the marketing budget and measure investment against commercial return
  • Develop integrated campaigns that build awareness, generate leads and support sales objectives
  • Work closely with Sales to identify customer needs, market opportunities and growth priorities
  • Develop customer propositions, personas and segmentation based on market and customer insight
  • Lead digital marketing, paid media, SEO and GEO activity through agency partners

  • Lead the marketing use of Microsoft Dynamics 365, including CRM, customer journeys and data

You'll be an experienced B2B marketer who combines strong technical marketing capability with genuine commercial curiosity.
You'll enjoy getting close to the customer, understanding complex products and services and translating those insights into marketing that creates demand and delivers measurable results.
You'll bring:

  • Strong B2B marketing experience, ideally within a technical, industrial or services environment
