Resumo da oferta

Rise Vets is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to be the voice and keeper of our brand across eight clinics in North Queensland. You’ll lead a team of Social Media Coordinators, work with vets, nurses and managers to turn clinical news into clear, client-friendly language.

The role is part time—about 20 hours per week—with ideally central basis on the Atherton Tableland, though some remote work is possible. Pay is on a transparent scale: $36 to $42 per hour based on experience.

Qualificações

  • Marketing, communications or content coordination experience.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills; translate complex info into clear language.
  • Experience creating and scheduling social media content for an organisation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow brand standards, approvals and deadlines.

Responsabilidades

  • Social media — plan content calendar, write captions, coordinate visuals, publish and monitor interactions.
  • Community, sponsorships and events — track partnerships, organise field days, open days and media releases.
  • Newsletters — theme selection, interview vets/nurses, plain-English write-up and distribution.
  • Website and blog — update service pages, staff profiles, clinic news and articles.
  • Client fact sheets and after-care notes — edit for plain language and consistency.
  • Brand custodian — ensure logos, colours, fonts and tone are on-brand; brief designers and printers.

Descrição da oferta de emprego

Tableland Veterinary Service – Malanda QLD

Love turning complicated stuff into words people actually read?

Want your work to help animals and their people across eight rural clinics in North Queensland — from dairy herds and working dogs to cherished pets and elite horses?

After a team that backs flexibility, work/life balance and happiness at work (and was listed as one of Australia's 30 best workplaces for women)?

And would you rather be the one who looks after a brand than just decorates with it?

Read on — this one might have your name on it.

The opportunity

Rise Vets is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to be the voice — and the keeper — of our brand across all eight of our clinics: Atherton, Charters Towers, Cooktown, Edmonton, Innisfail, Malanda, Ravenshoe and Weipa.

You'll sit in our Business Support team, report to our General Manager, and lead a crew of Social Media Coordinators based in each clinic. You'll work alongside vets, nurses, client care teams and practice managers to turn clinical know-how and team news into communication that's clear, accurate, useful and unmistakably us.

Why it matters: good communication helps people make better decisions for their animals. It builds trust in the communities we serve. And it means a client in Weipa and a client in Innisfail get the same clear, dependable Rise Vets — every time.

The day-to-day role

No two weeks look the same, but a typical month might include:

  • Social media — planning the content calendar around seasonal health messages, clinic priorities and community happenings; writing captions, coordinating photos and short video, publishing, and keeping an eye on comments and messages (and knowing when to hand something to a vet or manager).
  • Community, sponsorships and events — keeping track of our sponsorships and partnerships, assessing new requests, and pulling together field days, open days, education nights and the odd media release.
  • Newsletters — choosing themes, interviewing our vets and nurses, writing it up in plain English, then building, testing and proofing before it goes out — and learning from the open and click numbers afterwards.
  • Website and blog — writing and keeping service pages, staff profiles, clinic updates and blog articles accurate, easy to read and easy to find.
  • Client fact sheets and after-care notes — editing for plain language and consistency, working hand-in-hand with the responsible vet so the clinical advice stays exactly right.
  • Brand custodian — making sure logos, colours, fonts, templates and tone of voice are used properly, briefing designers and printers, and helping the team get it right with simple guidance and friendly feedback.
  • Keeping it all on track — campaign plans, schedules, approvals, supplier budgets, and short reports that say what worked and what we should do next.
This role may be perfect for you if…
  • …you love editing as much as writing — and you can't walk past a misplaced apostrophe.
  • …you can take complex science and make it simple without dumbing it down. We simplify the language, never the substance.
  • …you know a brand is more than a logo — it's how we sound, how we show up, and whether people trust us.
  • …you're as comfortable at a field day in Charters Towers as you are polishing a fact sheet at your desk.
  • …you'd rather report on what made a difference than count 'likes'.
  • …you want to be part of a team that cares for one another like family and celebrates each other's wins.
  • …you love an outdoor lifestyle — rainforest, waterfalls, reef and endless bush, with Australia's best tropical climate thrown in.
Our ideal candidate

You'll be confident yet humble, organised to the last detail, and great at working with experts to get the words right. You'll have:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, content coordination or something close to it.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, and a knack for turning complex information into clear, client-friendly language.
  • Experience creating and scheduling social media content for an organisation.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a track record of sticking to brand standards, approval processes and deadlines.
  • Confidence with everyday office software, website content management systems and digital tools.
  • Good judgement with sensitive information, public comments and competing priorities.
Bonus points (but not deal-breakers) for:
  • A qualification in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, business or similar.
  • Experience in veterinary, animal health, healthcare, professional services or a multi-site business.
  • Experience coordinating sponsorships, community events, media or external suppliers.
  • Some skills in photography, short-form video, graphic design, email marketing, web publishing or analytics.
  • A feel for rural and regional communities — and the people who live and work with companion animals, horses and livestock.
The position details
  • Part time — approximately 20 hours per week with some flexibility to the scheduling
  • Ideally based centrally to our clinics on the Atherton Tableland, but remote work is not out of the question
  • Pay set on our transparent, objective pay scale — range from $36 to $42 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
About Rise Vets

Our purpose is to support better lives for animals and their people — with heart and skill.

Rise Vets is a privately owned group of mixed-practice veterinary clinics across Far North Queensland, in Atherton, Charters Towers, Cooktown, Edmonton, Innisfail, Malanda, Ravenshoe and Weipa. We care for every kind of animal — beef and dairy herds, working dogs, elite performance horses, cherished pets and wildlife — because rural communities deserve the same best-practice care as anywhere else.

We're a team of more than 60 people who love our communities and our work, but most of all we love supporting each other and helping one another succeed.

Our values

Our five core values guide how we make decisions, how we treat each other, and how we recruit, review and reward our team.

Be dependable Follow through on promises. Be direct, with compassion. Make life easier for those around you.

Stay humble Take the job seriously, not yourself. Treasure constructive feedback. Challenge your own opinions.

Show love Care for one another like family. Assume best intentions. Strive to understand others.

Solve problems Look. Think. Take action. Progress before perfection. Embrace new challenges.

Choose positivity Express gratitude and appreciation often. Celebrate each other's wins. Laugh, smile and have fun.
