  • Permanent part-time position (2 days per week)
  • Location: Sydney, Hybrid Remote
  • Reports to: Director
About Neon

Neon Digital is a marketing agency led by data and technology. The team learns each client’s business and helps build marketing solutions that deliver on customer expectations — from brand strategy to activation, creative campaigns to automation.

Neon works with clients across different industries, supporting mid-market organisations through to enterprise businesses. The team enjoys solving business challenges through marketing, data, and technology.

Neon combines curiosity, creativity, and technology to bring ideas to life. Whether clients are activating an email campaign, launching an event, or improving customer experiences, Neon focuses on creating meaningful connections between brands and audiences.

About the Role

Connecting with audiences requires diverse perspectives. Neon encourages marketing applicants from all backgrounds to bring their authentic selves, unique experiences, and fresh ideas to the team.

This role plays an important part in helping Neon execute its own marketing strategy and grow its brand. You will be hands-on in activating marketing across channels including:

  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • Website content
  • Events
First 90 Days

During your first three months, you will work closely with the Director to understand Neon’s marketing plan and support the execution of key activities.

You will help with:

  • Developing content ideas and bringing concepts to life.
  • Creating and managing marketing content.
  • Supporting Neon’s client-facing events.
  • Learning Neon’s marketing tools, processes, and tone of voice.
  • Helping schedule, publish, and maintain consistent marketing activity across channels.

The goal is to ensure Neon’s marketing plan moves from strategy into action. You will bring creativity, personality, and consistency to the brand while helping maintain an active presence across marketing channels.

By the end of your first three months, you will be expected to become a reliable and proactive member of the team who takes pride in the work you help create.

Next 90 Days

After building confidence with Neon’s own marketing activities, there will be opportunities to contribute to client projects.

Depending on your skills, availability, and business needs, you may support:

  • Client workshops.
  • Content development.
  • Campaign creation.
  • Marketing tools and platforms.
  • Client-facing activities.

This is an opportunity rather than a guarantee. Your involvement in client work will depend on:

  • Your availability and interest in expanding the role.
  • Neon’s capacity and current client projects.
  • Whether the work is the right fit for both you and the client.

Neon’s goal is to provide a clear pathway for growth, starting with internal marketing activities and creating opportunities to develop broader marketing skills.

About You

You are someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys taking ideas from concept through to completion. You balance creative thinking with strong execution skills and take satisfaction in seeing projects delivered.

You may recognise yourself through these qualities:

  • Proactive and self-motivated: You are comfortable taking ownership of tasks and following them through.
  • Creative yet practical: You have an eye for good content, enjoy finding inspiration, and can turn ideas into action.
  • Organised and reliable: You can manage your time effectively and deliver on commitments.
  • Strong communicator: You can clearly share ideas, write effectively, and confidently engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Curious and willing to learn: You enjoy developing new skills, receiving feedback, and adopting new tools.
  • Adaptable and approachable: You enjoy variety and can shift between different tasks, from creating social posts to supporting events.

You may be in your final year of study or early in your career. Formal experience is less important than your attitude, curiosity, and genuine interest in marketing.
