Overview

Cedars Christian College is a vibrant and innovative learning community that is dedicated to leading our students forward throughout the most important years of their life. Cedars is a Prep to Year 12 independent private school with approximately 800 students located just 10 kilometres south of Wollongong in the heart of the Illawarra. We are currently inviting applications for the following position to work within our Marketing department to commence as soon as possible.

Position

Marketing and Events Assistant is a permanent part-time position (0.8 FTE, Term Time Only) to commence as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support implementation of tasks from the strategy as directed
  • Ensure materials, signage, and communications follow the brand guidelines
  • Update website content, upload news/events, schedule and monitor social media posts
  • Assist with drafting news items or event summaries for review
  • Source content, prepare materials, coordinate artwork/files for campaigns
  • Capture photos/videos at school events, edit, and distribute content for newsletters/socials
  • Assist with drafting, formatting, and distributing newsletters and flyers
  • Provide event logistics and hands-on support (set up, pack up, signage, photography, distribution of materials)
  • Track basic engagement (social likes, shares, comments) and flag issues/opportunities
  • Assist with placement, maintenance, and updating of signage
  • Maintain records of marketing materials, images, and event resources. Liaise with staff to collect info for communications
  • Deliver high-quality customer service in day-to-day interactions
Position details

The Marketing & Events Assistant supports the delivery of the College’s marketing, communications, and events functions. This role focuses on implementing day-to-day marketing activities, assisting with events, and managing routine communications to ensure consistency with the College’s brand and values. The position works under the guidance of the Marketing Manager and reports directly to the Director of Administrative Operations.

Hours and attendance

At times, this role requires attendance at school functions outside normal hours, including meetings, activities, and events. Time-in-lieu arrangements must be made with the Director of Administrative Operations.
