Job summary

KBR in Adelaide is seeking a Market Sector Manager for Transport Infrastructure to build and lead our SA transport business from the new office. The role focuses on strategy, client engagement, and delivering major road, rail, and maritime projects.

You will work closely with operations to win work, manage client relationships, and ensure delivery and commercial milestones are met, while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

The KBR Opportunity

Based out of our new Adelaide office, we are looking for a Market Sector Manager for Transport Infrastructure to further build our presence in SA. The work will be a a mixture of major projects and baseload projects providing consulting services through development, planning, design and into delivery. We are striving to build a business that whilst specialising in transport infrastructure provides a diverse range of solutions giving us a robust business. Working closely with our operations team in delivering the work your role will be focused on 5 main areas.

• Devising and implementing a strategy focused on building a diverse, resilient and growing Transport Infrastructure business and capability. Road and Rail projects will be the main focus
• Work winning through the identification of opportunities and positioning of KBR in line with the strategic objectives
• Maintaining and strengthening existing client relationships as well as developing new client connections.
• Ensuring project delivery and commercial milestones are met and exceed customer expectations
• Overall business performance including P&L management

What you will need to succeed

• It’s likely you will come from a civil engineering background enabling you to provide advice and understanding to your customers
• Experience of working with a consulting environment would be highly desired.
• You will be strategic, client facing, and understand the drivers behind a successful business
• You will be an authentic and collaborative leader who leads from the front.
• You will have superb people skills with the ability to influence and build an inclusive environment where people are valued and develop people in line with their aspirations
• You aren’t afraid to innovate, challenging the norm and contribute to the success of the wider group.
• You will bring energy and purpose to the role, whilst taking ownership of the SA transport business
• You will bring good commercial understanding
• Our preference would be for the successful candidate to have an in-depth knowledge of the SA market but we won’t rule out interstate candidates looking to move to Adelaide
