Leading a small team of experienced Health Economics professionals, you'll shape reimbursement and pricing strategy across an exciting portfolio of emerging and established therapies. You'll work closely with Commercial, Medical and Market Access leaders to assess future opportunities, identify evidence requirements and help determine the strongest access strategies across multiple assets and indications.

You'll retain strong technical involvement while translating complex HTA and reimbursement issues into clear commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders. Longer term, the role provides opportunity to continue developing towards broader functional leadership.

Duties

  • Shape high-quality PBAC and broader HTA submission strategies
  • Partner closely with Commercial and Medical teams on early asset and portfolio planning

  • Translate complex HTA, pricing and reimbursement issues into clear commercial recommendations
  • Develop reimbursement and pricing strategies aligned with broader portfolio and business objectives
  • Critically assess economic models, assumptions and evidence strategies
  • Lead responses to payer and HTA feedback throughout the reimbursement process
  • Partner with global and regional Market Access and evidence teams
  • Manage external consultants and vendors where specialist support is required
  • Build productive relationships with relevant government, industry and external stakeholders
  • Monitor the evolving reimbursement and policy environment and translate changes into portfolio strategy

  • Strong understanding of Australian HTA and reimbursement, including PBAC
  • Demonstrated experience developing reimbursement and Market Access strategy
  • Strong technical Health Economics foundation with the confidence to interrogate and critically assess economic models
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into commercially relevant recommendations
  • Strong cross-functional business partnering experience across Commercial, Medical and other senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience developing and mentoring technical professionals
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health Sciences, Economics or a related discipline
Highly regarded
  • Formal people-management experience within Health Economics or Market Access
  • Experience influencing early pipeline, launch or portfolio strategy
  • Experience across oncology, rare disease or other complex reimbursement environments
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Health Economics or Public Health
Culture

Join an experienced and technically strong Market Access function where expertise is valued and leaders are expected to contribute beyond their functional remit. The culture is collaborative, intellectually curious and commercially focused, with an emphasis on developing people, challenging established thinking and translating technical expertise into better business and patient-access decisions.
