Job summary

You will disassemble equipment, trace circuits, locate defects, and replace wiring and components to ensure reliable power, lighting, and communications aboard the vessel. Responsibilities include fabricating switchboards, installing control devices, testing circuits, and preparing work permits and pre-tests.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical equipment repair and wiring on ships.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety and federal employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble equipment, trace circuits, locate defects, replace parts.
• Fabricate and assemble switchboards, install control devices and transformers.
