Job summary

RTX is seeking a Contracts Manager to support a critical maritime Defence program in Australia. You will work at the intersection of commercial strategy, program delivery and Defence capability, partnering with program leaders, engineers, customers and suppliers to secure complex contractual outcomes.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, support bids, interpret procurement policies, and manage contractual risks across the program lifecycle, reporting to the Commercial team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in contracts, commercial, procurement or legal roles.
• Experience with commercial, project, procurement or technology contracts.
• Strong ability to interpret contractual obligations and provide risk-based advice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial advice and develop practical solutions that meet objectives while ensuring compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Support bid and proposal activities, including strategy development and submissions.
• Interpret customer procurement policies and contractual obligations to support decision-making.
• Act as commercial interface with customers and suppliers throughout contract performance.
• Identify, assess and manage commercial risks to support program outcomes.
• Build cross-functional relationships to enable informed decision-making.
