Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Contracts Manager to support sustainment and capability of a critical maritime Defence program. You will operate at the intersection of commercial strategy and program delivery, advising leaders, engineers, customers and suppliers to achieve complex contractual outcomes.

The role involves shaping commercial strategy, managing obligations, and influencing decisions that underpin mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Business, Commerce, Law or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in contracts, commercial, procurement or legal roles.
• Experience with commercial, project, procurement or technology contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to interpret obligations and provide risk-based advice.
• Proven ability to build relationships across stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial advice and develop practical solutions that meet objectives while ensuring compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, balancing objectives with risk.
• Support bid and proposal activities including strategy development and submissions.
• Interpret customer procurement policies, regulations, and contracts to inform decisions.
• Act as a key commercial interface with customers and suppliers throughout performance.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks to support outcomes.
• Foster collaboration across program, engineering, customer and supplier teams.
