Qualifications

• Proven mechanical fitting capability and sound workshop practices.
• High attention to detail.
• Ship repair/refit experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Current police check issued recently with clean record.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Vaccinations Hep A & B current.
• Australian Citizen.
• Confined Space, Working at Heights, Rigger certificates.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent mechanical fitting, confined space and rigging support across marine engineering works.
• Maintain clear daily communication with your reporting line (manager/supervisor).
• Work safely and efficiently, independently or as part of a team.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Apply strong troubleshooting, analytical and mechanical skills, with excellent attention to detail and time management.
