Job description

We are currently seeking a Marine Mechanic Apprentice who has a can-do attitude and a genuine interest in the marine mechanical industry.

You will be hosted with Fenquin, a specialist in boating equipment and accessories for marine engines, industrial engines and equipment and respected for its parts, sales and service support.

While working alongside qualified tradespeople you will work in the workshop and develop the skills to work on and around diesel and gasoline marine engines, vessels, and drive systems.

By the completion of this apprenticeship you will have the skills and knowledge to perform a broad range of mechanical servicing and repair tasks in the marine industry.

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Marine Mechanic and you will earn your AUR30520 Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology.

Full time 4-year contract including paid annual and personal leave

Work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Your own personal MIGAS mentor who will guide you through your apprenticeship

The chance to learn from experienced tradespeople

Opportunity to access Government subsidy payments of up to a total of $5000 for the first 2 years of your apprenticeship paid in 6 monthly instalments
