Job summary

Flinders Port Holdings is seeking a Marine Maintenance and Construction Team Member in Adelaide to maintain and improve port assets, including wharves and marine structures. The role involves welding, fabrication, and routine maintenance both in workshops and on-site at various ports.

Applicants should have experience in construction or maintenance, familiarity with WH&S practices, and ideally a boilermaker/metal fabrication trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, fabrication or maintenance.
• Knowledge of WH&S practices applicable to general labouring work.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, maintenance, and repair work on marine assets, including steel and timber structures, jetties, wharves, and infrastructure, both in workshop and on-site.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, winches, and mechanical tools.
• Install and maintain port infrastructure, formwork, painting, mooring systems, and temporary platforms.
• Work collaboratively with team members, report hazards or concerns, and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Work independently or in a team, follow complex instructions, apply quality control techniques, and provide support to colleagues.
