Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Melbourne is seeking a Learning and Capability Officer focused on Family Violence to design and deliver MARAM-based training at foundational and identification levels. You will develop engaging learning resources and facilitate sessions for staff across prisons and community services.

You will deliver practical training in person and online, build a shared understanding of family violence, and adapt materials to meet diverse training needs

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training to adults, in person and online.
• Sound understanding of family violence, its causes and effects.
• Knowledge of the Victorian family violence sector and MARAM reforms.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• deliver practical training in person and online using the MARAM Framework
• help staff build a shared understanding of family violence and how to respond
• create safe, supportive training sessions that respect people with lived experience
• work with teams and service providers to meet their training needs
• help develop and update training materials to improve learning across the department
