Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking a Learning and Capability Officer to design and deliver MARAM family violence training at foundational and identification levels for staff across prisons and community services.

You will develop engaging learning resources, facilitate sessions in person and online, and support sustained practice change. A Certificate IV in workplace training is desirable, with strong communication and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering training to adults, in person and online.
• Sound understanding of family violence and its causes/effects.
• Knowledge of the Victorian family violence sector and MARAM reforms.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills to support diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical training in person and online using the MARAM Framework.
• Help staff build a shared understanding of family violence and how to respond.
• Create safe, supportive training sessions that respect people with lived experience.
• Work with teams and service providers to meet their training needs.
• Help develop and update training materials to improve learning across the department.
