Job summary

Phebra Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Aseptic and Grade C Production for the morning shift (37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday 6:45am–2:45pm) to help produce sterile medicines in a controlled cleanroom.

You will dispense materials, set up and run equipment, perform in-process checks, manage batch records, and uphold GMP, QMS and WHS standards while maintaining Right First Time quality.

Qualifications

• Experience as a pharmaceutical operator or manufacturing technician in a minimum Grade C cleanroom environment.
• Experience in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing including aseptic processing and/or terminal sterilisation.
• Solid understanding of GMP principles and their day-to-day application in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Dispense dry and liquid raw materials for production and trials.
• Set up, operate and clean mixing and filling equipment.
• Issue components and consumables to production areas.
• Perform in-process checks and accurately record results.
• Operate autoclaves for sterilisation.
• Complete room cleaning and line clearance beforehand.
• Complete Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and other documentation on time.
• Identify, report and help prevent quality issues.
• Follow procedures with QMS, cGMP and WHS requirements.

Phebra is an Australian-owned pharmaceutical company specialising in the manufacture and supply of critical care medicines. At our Lane Cove facility, our Manufacturing Technicians play an important role in producing high-quality sterile medicines for use in hospitals and healthcare settings.

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Technician – Aseptic and Grade C Production to join our morning shift team. This is a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, 6:45am – 2:45pm, within our controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who understands the importance of precision, consistency and compliance when manufacturing sterile pharmaceutical products.

What you’ll be doing

• Dispensing dry and liquid raw materials for production and trials.
• Setting up, operating and cleaning mixing and filling equipment.
• Issuing components and consumables to production areas.
• Performing in-process checks throughout compounding, filling and cleaning activities and accurately recording results.
• Operating autoclaves, including loading and unloading product and components for sterilisation.
• Completing room cleaning and line clearance activities in preparation for manufacturing and filling.
• Completing Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and other manufacturing documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
• Identifying, reporting and helping prevent quality issues.
• Working in accordance with approved procedures, our Quality Management System (QMS), cGMP and WHS requirements.

What you’ll bring

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a pharmaceutical operator or manufacturing technician, with experience working in a minimum Grade C cleanroom environment.
• Experience in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing, including aseptic processing and/or terminal sterilisation.
• A sound understanding of GMP principles and their application in day-to-day manufacturing.
• Technical aptitude, including experience setting up machinery and basic changeovers using an HMI interface.
• A relevant technical or science‑based qualification, such as Fitter, Mechanical or Pharmaceutical/Science, is desirable but not essential.
• A strong eye for detail and a commitment to getting things Right First Time.
• The ability to follow procedures carefully while working efficiently in a regulated environment.
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently when required.
• A genuine interest in producing quality medicines that support patient care.
