Job summary

Sandvik AB is seeking a motivated Fire Suppression Technician to join our Western Australia team. This hands-on role covers installation, servicing and troubleshooting of fire suppression systems on mining equipment, both in workshops and on customer sites.

You will work on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with travel across Western Australia, prioritising safety and fault-finding accuracy. The position suits someone with mechanical aptitude and field service experience, eager to develop skills

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair fire suppression systems on mining equipment and machinery.
• Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic work using hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Complete equipment audits and inspections, providing recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
• Support the commissioning of new equipment and assist with new product implementation activities.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports and other documentation.
• Assist with training and accreditation activities related to fire suppression systems.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to provide technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with site, industry and company standards.
• Participate in field service activities, including travel to customer sites and occasional on-call requirements.

About the Opportunity

Sandvik is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Fire Suppression Technician to join our growing team in Western Australia.

This hands-on role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of fire suppression systems across mobile and fixed plant equipment within the mining industry. Working both in the workshop and on customer sites, you'll play a critical role in helping our customers maintain safe, compliant and productive operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and field service experience who is looking to develop their technical skills while working with industry-leading equipment and technology.

This position operates on 8 days on, 6 days off (8/6) roster and will involve travel to customer sites across Western Australia.

Responsibilities

• Complete equipment audits and inspections, providing recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
