Job description

Mineral Technologies is seeking a commercially minded Manufacturing Performance Analyst to help improve the performance of our manufacturing operations.

Reporting to the Head of Equipment and Delivery Operations, you will analyse manufacturing costs, operational results and performance trends, then work closely with leaders across Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Engineering and Finance to turn those insights into practical improvements.

This is an individual contributor role where your success will come from combining strong analytical capability with trusted stakeholder relationships. You will influence outcomes through clear insights, constructive challenge and evidence based recommendations rather than direct authority. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring, analysing and forecasting throughput, productivity, labour utilisation, inventory and schedule performance
  • Investigating manufacturing variances across materials, labour, overheads, scrap, yield and productivity
  • Maintaining and reviewing standard costs, bills of materials, routings, labour rates, overhead allocations and product cost roll ups
  • Translating operational and financial data into clear recommendations that improve cost, productivity, resource utilisation and delivery performance
  • Partnering with operational stakeholders to identify root causes, agree sustainable corrective actions and implement improvement initiatives
  • Tracking improvement programs and measuring benefits against agreed objectives
  • Developing monthly performance reports, dashboards, operational KPIs and scorecards
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, month end reporting and operational planning
  • Applying Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints and continuous improvement principles to improve throughput and operational performance
  • Contributing to a strong Zero Harm culture
What we’re looking for

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, engineering, quantity surveying or project management, or a relevant trade, Advanced Diploma or equivalent industry experience
  • At least five years of experience in manufacturing analysis, cost control, operational improvement, planning, project controls or a similar operational role
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis capability
  • A practical understanding of manufacturing costing and ERP or MRP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office
  • The ability to develop data models, reporting tools, dashboards and performance insights
  • Demonstrated success engaging stakeholders and influencing improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex data into practical business actions
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with Power BI and JDEGS, which would be highly regarded
  • Attention to detail, resilience and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
What we offer
  • A role with genuine influence across manufacturing and operational performance
  • The opportunity to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost, inventory, throughput and resource utilisation
  • Exposure to stakeholders across Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Finance and business leadership
  • A collaborative environment where evidence based thinking and continuous improvement are valued
  • Opportunities to strengthen your capability across operational analytics, business improvement and performance reporting
  • A workplace that is committed to Zero Harm and supports an inclusive culture.
