Job summary

Mineral Technologies, a Downer subsidiary, seeks a Product Manager - Hydrocyclone Equipment to own a global hydrocyclone portfolio, driving strategy, innovation, and commercial success across functions worldwide.

You will lead cross‑functional teams in R&D, metallurgy, manufacturing, and service, translate technical concepts into business outcomes, and influence product direction with a customer‑centric mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Mechanical/Process/Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mineral processing, mining, or related equipment markets.
• Experience in product management, development, or technology leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own hydrocyclone product design, manufacture and delivery in line with WHS and environmental requirements.
• Drive strategy and lifecycle management for a competitive portfolio.
• Lead improvement initiatives on performance, reliability, wear life and cost.
• Act as global champion for hydrocyclone equipment and lead technical-commercial efforts.
• Monitor market trends to guide innovation and development priorities.
• Collaborate with BD and service teams to enhance aftersales value.

As Mineral Technologies continues to expand its global footprint and product offerings, we have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager - Hydrocyclone Equipment to join our team. This is a high-impact role where you'll take ownership of a globally recognised product portfolio, influencing its strategy, innovation, commercial performance, and long-term success. Working across Business Development, Process Technology Development (R&D), Metallurgical Services, and Manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our hydrocyclone technology. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial thinking and wants to make a tangible impact on customers and operations around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure hydrocyclone product design, manufacture, and delivery align with WHS, environmental, and risk management requirements.
• Drive product strategy and lifecycle management to maintain a competitive and market-leading portfolio.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on performance, reliability, wear life, and cost competitiveness.
• Act as the global product champion and key technical-commercial leader for hydrocyclone equipment.
• Monitor customer, industry, and competitor trends to guide innovation and development priorities.
• Collaborate with Business Development and service teams to enhance aftersales offerings and customer value.
• Ensure laboratory and testing capabilities supporting hydrocyclone products remain fit for purpose and aligned with future requirements.

About You

You are a technically credible and commercially minded professional who thrives on influencing product direction, leading innovation, and working collaboratively across global teams. You are passionate about delivering customer value and can translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Process, or Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong experience within mineral processing, mining, or related equipment markets
• Experience in product management, product development, technical leadership, or technology-focused roles
• Exposure to hydrocyclone technology and classification circuits (highly regarded)
• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive product growth
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and commercial environments
• Availability to travel as required.
