Thornton Engineering is seeking an Industrial Spray Painter (NACE 1 or 2) at our Geelong facility to oversee blast and paint quality, inspections and data recording. You will guide the spray staff to meet quality standards and project deadlines.

The Industrial Spray Painteris responsible for the blast & paint quality, inspections and recording of blast and paint data in our structural steel fabrication facilities. The role involves overseeing the performance and development of blast and paint staff, ensuring all blasting and painting meets the required quality standards and testing requirements and that traceability documentation is up to date for each project.
Performing all necessary blast and paint inspections in compliance with Australian Standards, Client specifications and product requirements. Provide guidance, training and supervision of the blast & paint trade staff to ensure timely project deliveries, effective performance/workmanship and adherence to safety and quality standards.
