Job summary

Emerald Clinical Trials in Adelaide, Australia seeks an experienced Early Phase Project Manager to lead and deliver clinical research projects from feasibility to close-out. You will manage cross-functional teams, budgets, site selection, and data quality, ensuring compliance with GCP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a science or related field.
• Previous clinical project experience in academic, CRO or pharmaceutical settings.
• 7 years industry experience with 1–2 years PM experience is preferred.
• Mandarin proficiency is mandatory for this role.
• CRA experience or site management/trial coordination experience is advantageous.
• Experience with early-phase and healthy volunteer studies is a plus.
• Experience handling multiple regions and therapies, and managing full-service studies.
• Strong knowledge of ICH/GCP and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience in client-facing interactions and client management.
• Project finance management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and leadership abilities, including leading virtual cross-cultural teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities align with project-specific documentation, SOPs, ICH GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, investigators and vendors.
• Provide clear guidance to the project team on deliverables.
• Coordinate feasibility planning and site selection for projects.
• Monitor budgets, forecast and invoicing; manage project financials.
• Oversee site setup and regulatory compliance across regions.
• Ensure patient safety and adverse event reporting per requirements.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and progress reports.
