Job summary

EY-Parthenon in Sydney, NSW, is recruiting a Manager – Transaction Diligence (Private Equity) to lead financial due diligence across buy-side and sell-side PE transactions. You will provide critical financial insights to support acquisitions, exits and portfolio value creation in a fast-paced environment.

This hybrid role is based in Sydney and involves client-facing outputs, mentorship of junior staff, and close collaboration with PE clients and management teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Private Equity-focused FDD engagements.
• Strong exposure to buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side Financial Due Diligence engagements for Private Equity transactions.
• Analyse financial performance (QoE, working capital, cash flow) to support investment decisions and deal structuring.
• Deliver client-ready outputs while managing stakeholder relationships and supporting junior team development.

The opportunity

At EY‑Parthenon, we work at the intersection of strategy, transactions and value creation, advising corporates, private equity investors and governments on their most critical investment decisions. Our Transaction Diligence team goes beyond traditional diligence — partnering with investors and management teams to shape investment theses, assess value creation opportunities and influence deal outcomes across the full transaction lifecycle.

As our Manager – Transaction Diligence (Private Equity), you'll lead financial due diligence across fast-paced buy-side and sell-side transactions for leading PE clients. You will provide critical financial insights to support acquisitions, exits and portfolio value creation across a range of sectors.

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side Financial Due Diligence engagements for Private Equity transactions
• Analyse financial performance (QoE, working capital, cash flow) to support investment decisions and deal structuring
• Deliver client-ready outputs while managing stakeholder relationships and supporting junior team development

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Experience in Private Equity-focused FDD engagements
• Strong exposure to buy-side and sell-side transactions
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate in fast-paced deal environments
• Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent

• Experience working with PE investors, portfolio companies or lenders
• Ability to translate financial insights into investment recommendations
• Experience mentoring junior team members
