Job summary

The University of Tasmania is seeking a Manager, Professional Experience Placement in the School of Education to oversee the placement lifecycle and support student learning. Based at Rivers Edge Campus, Launceston, you will lead a professional team and drive improvements across the Portfolio.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s level qualification with relevant experience and demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Salary: up to AU$130,943 with superannuation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to foster continuous improvement.
• Experience interpreting policies and improving administrative processes.
• Excellent written communication for reports, plans and submissions.
• Experience with university professional experience programs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Professional Experience administrative team for end-to-end lifecycle activities.
• Lead and develop the Professional Experience administrative team in a values-based, people-centric environment.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with UTAS policies and external accreditation requirements.
• Provide strategic advice on improvements and new approaches to Professional Experience programs.
• Contribute to design and delivery of plans, policy and procedures in Professional Experience areas.
