Job summary

Cor Cordis in Sydney is seeking a Manager to advise mid-market businesses through complex restructuring, shape outcomes, mentor teams and drive growth from day one on live engagements. You will manage engagements, collaborate with creditors, debtors and legal representatives to keep engagements on track and contribute to strategy with the senior team.

You have substantial restructuring and insolvency experience, a business or accounting degree, CA/CPA, and ARITA qualifications (in progress) or

Manager role advising mid-market businesses through complex restructuring. Shape outcomes, mentor teams, and drive growth.

We don't see insolvency as the inevitable outcome. We see it as the last resort — and the skills that manage one are often the same skills that can avoid it.

We're growing our Sydney restructuring and insolvency team and hiring at Manager level. You'll be working live engagements from day one, not sitting on the sidelines of them.

We work across all sectors: financial services, manufacturing, retail, property, construction, mining, and agribusiness. Every client is different. Every situation is unique. So the solutions need to be, too.

What you’ll be doing

As a Manager in our Sydney team, you will manage engagements and shape outcomes for our clients at critical moments. Your role will span:

• Drive outcomes and be responsible for insolvency engagements (both formal and informal) from start to completion.
• Engaging directly with stakeholders, including creditors, debtors and legal representatives to keep engagements moving and outcomes on track
• Work alongside our senior team and have real input into strategy and implementation of strategy, across all parts of the business.
• Provide guidance, training and counsel to junior colleagues.
• Work as part of a team and collaborate across our offices.
• Manage workflow and resource allocation to satisfy multiple stakeholder expectations.

Every appointment is a business at a critical moment. The work is about protecting value and finding the best path forward, not just processing a file.

Who you are

You bring significant experience in restructuring and insolvency, along with a business or accounting-related degree (or equivalent). You are CA or CPA qualified, with ARITA qualifications either obtained or in progress.

You demonstrate strong technical capability, assertive communication skills, and excel in both written and verbal communication. You have a strong work ethic, thrive in a collaborative team environment and bring proven leadership experience or clear ambition to step into a leadership role.

Most importantly, you are someone who looks beyond the conventional answer, who wants to understand the full picture before recommending a path forward.
